SH Board appoints Strickland Revenue Collector

(Snow Hill, North Carolina)—At the July 10, 2006 regular meeting, the Snow Hill Board of Commissioners unanimously voted to name Michelle Strickland of Greene County to serve as the Town’s revenue collector.

Previously, Strickland served as an accounting technician and an administrative support specialist for the utility department with the Town of Farmville for nearly eight years. Her responsibilities included utility billing, monitoring meter readings, managing cut-offs, etc. With her new position as revenue collector, Strickland will also be responsible for assessing and collecting property taxes.

Strickland is a 1993 graduate of Greene Central High School. She has an associate’s degree in accounting from Pitt Community College and has nearly completed a bachelor’s degree in business management from Mount Olive College.

Her effective start date with the Town was July 11, 2006. At the Snow Hill Board of Commissioner’s July 26, 2006 meeting, Snow Hill Mayor Don Davis administered the oath of office to Strickland.
