FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Snow Hill to survey recreational needs

(Snow Hill, North Carolina)—The opposite of work, recreational activities may include walking, fishing, sporting events, arts and crafts, bird watching, hunting, or card playing. Snow Hill officials announce that a community recreation survey will be administered in early November.

“The Snow Hill Recreation Board is asking for your help to improve town recreation opportunities. Whatever you and your family members like to do, we would like to know about it!” said Karen Mulcahy, chair of the Snow Hill Recreation Board.

In early November a random sampling of residents will be asked to complete a recreation survey when coming into Town Hall.

“Completing the 2006 Recreation survey helps us in several ways. First, we would like to be aware of the interests of the community. Second, we need help in prioritizing our efforts to improve recreation facilities and activities. Finally, we can show funding agencies that we are trying to provide those activities that Snow Hill residents really want,” Mulcahy added.

All residents are encouraged to make recommendations for improving recreation in Snow Hill to Recreation Board members Robert Edwards, Jeannette Loftin, Karen Mulcahy, Caludie Reid, and Ian Whitson.
