Cutter Creek contracts with Pinnacle Golf Properties to manage construction and operation of golf facility

Cutter Creek Golf Club, scheduled to open in Snow Hill, NC in 2008 has brought onboard a trusted name in the golf world to facilitate their goal of being a world class golf facility. Pinnacle Golf Properties has been selected to oversee the golf course construction and continue with on-site management when the planned facility opens. The course is being built within a 634 acre community with over 700 homesites.

Managing Partner/President of Pinnacle Golf Properties, LLC David Taylor is excited about the addition of Cutter Creek to the facilities that Pinnacle Golf Properties manages. “All of our current courses are rated at least 4 stars (out of 5) by Golf Digest Places to Play. Cutter Creek will certainly meet this standard and could very well exceed a 4-star rating,” Taylor said.

Pinnacle manages six other golf facilities in North Carolina, including Oak Valley Golf Club in Advance, Meadowland’s Golf Club in Winston-Salem, Bryan Park Golf & Conference Center (host to the 2010 US Amateur Public Links Championship) in Greensboro, Stoney Creek Golf Club in Stoney Creek, and The Challenge Golf Club in Graham. “Cutter Creek will be the first facility east of Raleigh, and we look forward to begin working on our cluster strategy utilizing Cutter Creek as the flagship for Eastern North Carolina,” Taylor said.

Taylor explained why his company is so excited about Cutter Creek.

From a residential and golf partnership, Cutter Creek is the most unique set up that we have ever seen. For the founder members to end up owning the club without debt service is incredible. The development group has put a package together that is truly a win-win for everyone,” Taylor added.

Taylor said that he is also enthusiastic about the design of the Cutter Creek course.

“Bob Moore is one of the best architects in the industry and he will be able to utilize all of his creativity at Cutter Creek. Typically, an architect is restricted in some form or fashion as to the design he/she will ultimately end up with. At Cutter Creek, Bob was given everything you could ask for with the type and size of the property. This combination coupled with his extraordinary vision, will provide an unbelievable finished product. We expect Cutter Creek to rival the finest layouts certainly in the Carolina’s if not far beyond,” Taylor explained.

“The most exciting feature I am looking forward to is the expansiveness of the hitting corridor. There will be nearly 180 acres of maintained acreage at Cutter Creek, far above the normal 100-140 acres. Golfers may end up losing a golf ball, but they certainly will not be able to blame it on any narrow holes,” Taylor added.
