Snow Hill Board of Commissioners appoints Burruss to Eastern Carolina Council of Government’s Executive Committee

(Snow Hill, North Carolina)—In a unanimous decision at Monday’s meeting, the Snow Hill Board of Commissioners appointed Commissioner Phyllus Burruss to serve as the Town’s representative on the Eastern Carolina Council of Government’s Executive Committee.

“Commissioner Burruss expressed a strong interest and desire in joining the Eastern Carolina Council of Government’s Executive Committee. She is a strong leader, and will represent Snow Hill well in this capacity,” said Snow Hill Mayor Don Davis.

Burruss was elected to the Snow Hill Board of Commissioners in November of 2003. She chairs the Town’s Public Works Committee. Burruss is also a member of Finance and Administration Committee and serves as a liaison to the Snow Hill Historic Preservation Commission.

Burruss is a retired military veteran and the owner of Bianca’s Cruise & Travel here in Snow Hill. She is married and has one child.
